The word "latte" actually means "milk" in Italian. An Italian cafe e latte (coffee and milk ") is a mixture of coffee with milk, like the French café au lait (coffee with milk"), but both are very different from the bar that we know.
Today, outside of Italy, latte later for a drink from third espresso and two thirds steamed milk. Steamed milk is especially hot milk with foam on the effect.

This is what you need:
An espresso machine
A steam wand that comes with most espresso machines, heat the milk.
A metal jug in which warm the milk and make the foam.

Thermometers

Start steam your milk:
Pour two thirds of a cup of milk, or half a cup, if tastefully, in a cold pitcher.
Save the thermometer in the pot and steam the milk so that it reaches a temperature of about 150 degrees Celsius. If you are not using a thermometer, youknow, the milk is hot enough when you can no longer accommodate the container.
Start with the steam at the top of the pot wall to create the foam. Hold the tip near the surface, an angle, not straight and if it warm or 100 degrees Fahrenheit, lower the rod is heated in the milk until it is up to 150 degrees.
