Living in San Diego took me something like a tequila fan, or colloquially, a margarita mother. But there is a big problem I have encountered with the beverage liked my enthusiasm barometer. It is the calories from prefabricated margarita mixer. These mixers are loaded with sugar, which not only makes for a growing waste line, but also induces unnecessary hangover.
So now, after months of toiling with my shakers, straws and limes, I've created a margarita, do notSet me on my clothes in the hopeless Schlemmer department at Macy's.
Here's how it goes.
This recipe makes a pitcher (64 fluid ounces) of low-calorie margarita
Ingredients:
- 16 ounces non-moving cat fine-grade tequila (go aƱejo)
- 16 ounces fresh Mt Avian filtered ice (just a joke, each refrigerator ice will do)
- 20 ounces sugar-free lemonade
- 4 ounces fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 4 ounces lemon or citrus fruitAlcohol
Mixing
Now pour all the stuff into a blender, close the top and mix on high speed for 30-60 seconds. Enjoy Pour the margarita mix on ice.
Customize
Of course, you can and should adapt to fit all of the ingredients in this recipe to your own alcohol palette. It is just to know your drink yet intoxicating that it is low in calories.
Get fruity
If you have balanced the taste of your margarita, you may want to addfresh fruits such as strawberries, mango and pineapple. Adding fresh fruits reduces the need for high fructose sweeteners and makes your margarita more filling trick of another, you must increase your chances of reducing over eating
