Doubled the incidence of thyroid disorders in the last thirty or so years. Autoimmune diseases, which relate the endocrine system, are leaps and bounds. Including diseases of the brain that are like autism, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease.

A significant part of the problem is that the dangers lurking all around us as part of daily life in the 21st Century. Most were created by people and can be changed by people, if we make enough noise, what they do for us.

One of thethe threats of the fly in under the radar is parabens. I know, I know. Nearly everyone will say, reading this "para what?" Not feel excluded if you've never heard the word before. How do you think they were so widespread, without noticing it?

Manufacturers of lotions, potions and cosmetics add parabens to their products to prolong shelf life. There are methyl paraben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, ISOBUTYLPARABEN, propelparaben, and so on.

Parabens are estrogenic. That is, they mimicEstrogen in the body. They bind to our estrogen receptors, keep real estrogen in check. However, they can not function as a hypocrite estrogen in some way, the body tries to compensate and the things in the south.

Men can grow breasts, taking young boys for life in their testosterone levels blow to little girls, early puberty, and women end up in all kinds of pain: PMS, menopause, grief, etc. Everybody's endocrine system takes a hit.

So do what? Well, read labels. They are a magnifying glass and lots of patience, must, however, that an election is.

Or, you can patronize companies that do not parabens. If the manufacturers that do not start a flashpoint of parabens to see large clumps of money, other companies the light. Your decisions and your U.S. dollar have the power.

Jason Natural Products offers a variety of great products, I particularly like their lotions and shampoos. I use the color shampoo for colored hair, and like it a lot.

IKiss My Face's also lotions and toothpaste. I like their Triple Action Toothpaste because another threat to the health-sodium lauryl / laureth sulfate, another topic for another day. Jason's Toothpaste does too, but I've never tried. If you have, please let me know what you think. Tom's of Maine has a good reputation, but I do not know why. A journey through their ingredients label does not convince me to buy the stuff.

Noah's Naturals has a facial moisturizer that I really like. I will trymore of their products in the future.

In addition, you can rely on Avalon Organics products. You have a great scent in their shampoos and lotions.

Health food stores carry all these products. On-line stores, too. Walmart carries some from time to time, not as a goal. Whenever you see at TJ Maxx, take a swing by her cosmetics, you never know. I have Jason and Avalon products found there.

And it never hurts to let stores know what you want. Of course you can not help iteither, but if the worst that can happen is that they say "no" to try, why not?
